$1,000 + $90 NL
336 players entered the $1,000 + $90 No Limit Hold'em event, generating total buy-ins of $336,000. The final 36 players will get a share of the prize pool with the eventual winner taking home $87,998.
Fifteen hours after they began, there were still 37 players remaining when they called it a night. This means day two, which begins at 1pm Sunday, will commence with hand-for-hand play until one player busts on the money bubble.
The chip leader at the end of day one is Ramon Rivera, (Breatwood, NY) who finished up with 295,000 chips. Jennifer So (Brigantine, NJ) is second in chips with 292,700. Jennifer is one of only two ladies remaining in this event.
WSOP bracelet holder Jason Young ended the day with 195,000, well above the average of 136,000.
Mike 'Little Man' Sica, who also owns a WSOP bracelet, played this event but did not survive the day one action.
