Nosed Out by Castaldo

Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship

Castaldo Chipping Up

Mike "The Nose" Castaldo flops the joint holding 10 10♣ , but by the river downshifts the action.

The board is 10 9♣ 9♠, giving Castaldo a full house, but pauses when the Q♣ hits the turn and Thomas Sheets is still in the hand.

"Because he just called my preflop raise, I thought he might have an over pair like pocket queens," says Castaldo.

The river is the 4♣ and Castaldo leads out for 1,800 and Sheets pops it to 5k. Castaldo thinks about re-raising but opts to call.

Sheets tables A♣ K♣ for a second best flush, as Castaldo takes down the 10k. "If I knew he was on a flush draw I would've milked it for more value. "It kind of sucks, but I'm happy."
