Richard Rice Is Burnt
Right before the break Rick Rice (Haymarket, VA) shoved with K-6 and hit three Kings on the flop. His luck did not continue as he got his money in with a gutshot Royal Flush Draw after hitting top pair on the flop.
Rick's final hand: Hector Jimenez wakes up to Aces and leads out for 75,000. Rick calls from the big blind and loves the flop of Q-Jc-10c.
Hector jams and Rick insta calls.
Rick's hand doesn't improve. He loses his 470,000 and just like that is out.
Hector's stack shoots up to a skyscraper 1.4 million for the co-chip lead with Dean Schultz.
Richard banks $9,648 for his hard work.
We spoke and I learned that he's heading back to VA but might fly back to Borgata to make a run in the Main Event. Nothing but glowing things to say about Borgata and the tournaments. Another satisfied customer.
Interesting sidenote: In the deepstack and Event 4, Rick never had AA, KK, or A-K even once until he made this last final table. Not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing since he did go so deep in Event 4.
