Savage Beats Sande Before Dinner

Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship

On the last hand before the dinner break, LJ Sande (cutoff) got involved with Trevor Savage (button).  At the river the board read Q J 7 2 Q (no flush possible).  LJ checked, Trevor bet 560k into the million-dollar pot.  LJ tanked until time ran out in the level, then called.  Trevor showed AJ for two pair.  LJ mucked.

With that pot, Trevor reclaimed a commanding chip lead.  He's up to 8.2 million.

LJ dropped to 3.1 million.

Remaining chip counts:

Vadim Shlez-  6.2 million
Gil Sacks - 2.3 million
Bobby Suer - 2 million

Players have been sent on a 75 minute dinner break.  Play will resume at about 7:25pm
