Grant Lang...not Alfred E. Newman
In between hands I noticed Grand Lang from Connecticut continue to handle a string of brown beads. Don't think he was saying a rosary so I asked him about them.
Turns out they are Greek and were given to him by a Greek poker player who would manipulate them to stay calm. They're called kobboloi worry beeds - and used to alleviate stress.
"I'm a fidgety guy so this gives me something to play with...they're pretty cool," said Lang who has just a couple thousand over the starting 30,000 stacks.
Worry not Grant, plenty of time to pick up some hands and make some moves.
